Many people have the misconception that hypnosis is some kind of woo-woo mind control. We have all had this perception at one time or the other. Actually, true clinical hypnosis is anything but. During a session of hypnosis you will be guided into an extremely relaxed state to achieve an elevated state of mental awareness. Hypnosis may appear to look like sleep while it is, in fact, more like mediation with a goal in mind. In this deep state of calm focus you are able to go into the deeper recesses of your mind to access the power of the subconscious mind where 90% of what’s needed to give up or build new habits is.

The subconscious / unconscious mind is the key to change
The subconscious/unconscious mind will always act out and act toward our most dominant thoughts and feelings.
In the physical and relaxed state known as hypnosis, we bypass the critical element of the mind and can work directly with the unconscious mind. In a hypnotic state the unconscious mind is 80% more alert, making it easy to change habits and emotions of a lifetime. It all starts with your decision. Once your decision has been made on a conscious level the subconscious mind kicks in and will always act out and act toward our most dominate thought and feeling. This is our natural inborn ability to create success. Hypnosis helps us keep our thoughts and feelings focused toward our good and our goals.

Let's dispel some of the myths and answer the most asked questions about hypnosis
Yes? Generally speaking, every normal person is ‘hypnotizable’ – as long as they want to be, because at its essence, hypnosis is just being physically and mentally relaxed and paying attention to the verbal suggestions given to you. Simple and effective. Technically, as long as you are of average intelligence, and not under the influence of any substance, you could be a good candidate.
Therefore virtually anyone can achieve successful results using hypnosis. Of course, neither the hypnotherapist nor hypnosis can ‘make’ someone do anything against their will.
usually it’s a level of relaxation and peacefulness you have rarely, if ever, felt. Most people find it very similar to being relaxed in a waking state. Some people simply feel deeply relaxed or calm; others feel a lightness or heaviness. So don’t expect to feel ‘weird’. One thing that people do notice is an explicable change in their daily behaviors. Hypnosis is a normal state of focused attention where emotions of behaviors can be affected or influenced through suggestion and repetition.
Hypnosis is completely safe. When we hypnotize you, you are aware and in control at every moment and can terminate the sessions at any time. Hypnosis is not sleep, nor can you get ‘stuck’ in a state of hypnosis. You definitely can’t be made to do something against your will. Hypnosis is safe, relaxing and enjoyable experience. Some clients tell us it’s the best part of their week!
